General requirements of steel pipe strapping machine

Proposed technological process

The package of pipes is loaded by means of an overhead crane onto a strapping machine, where the package is compacted and tied with wire, in accordance with the requirements of the order.

After tying, the bundle of pipes along the rollers of the strapping machine must go to a nearby roller table with driven rollers, where it will stop in the extreme position by means of sensors and electronics (the roller table is manufactured by the customer). Further, the package of pipes is sent, according to the technical process.

All operations from the moment of loading onto the strapping machine, namely strapping and transportation, must be carried out automatically, with minimal operator involvement.

It is also necessary to have a reliable security system that will ensure the shutdown (shutdown) of the equipment when a person enters / stays in the equipment operation area.

Mechanical specifications

 The strapping machine must provide automatic binding of packages with a diameter of 200 mm to 1200 mm, from pipes of the assortment presented in table 2. The length of the package of pipes is from 4 to 12 m.

The strapping machine must be able to tie the bundle of pipes uniformly in 4 places along the length in two threads with twisted ends. At the request of orders, the possibility of linking in 2 or 3 places should be provided. Extreme linkages should be located at least 500 mm from the end of the package. The ends of the wire after wrapping should have a length of no more than 200 mm and be pressed against the package.

The time for tying a package of pipes is 25 … 50 seconds, can be changed in agreement with the Customer. For linking, a wire with a diameter of 5 – 8 mm should be used according to GOST 3282, TU 14-15-293, the number of threads in one knitting can be increased to 6 pcs.
